I am so excited to share Melissa and Joel’s awesome Watsons Bay Hotel wedding.  I had a blast photographing these two lovebirds who were surrounded by their closest family friends. The day began with a leisurely cruise across Sydney harbour to meet up with boys before heading to Watsons Bay boutique hotel to document the girls getting ready. The ceremony was intimate and beautiful and was held at Gibson’s Beach Reserve which has stunning views of the city in the background. After the formalities were over, we took some candid portraits as we slowly made our way back sharing a laugh with the bridal party and of course a few celebratory champagnes were had. What followed was a romantic night dining, crazy dancing and it was a pleasure being able to document their wedding day, it was very raw and beautiful.

Melissa and Joel describe their relationship as a romantic comedy movie and often refer to Rhianna’s song “We Found Love” as they meet in a hopeless place being the dry cleaners. Their love has blossomed ever since as you can see their connection in the photographs. I would love to photograph another Watsons Bay Hotel wedding soon so please get in touch if you love this.
