For this laid-back couple, a cruisy south coast wedding at Driftwood Shed was always on the cards. Alex and Shannon chose to celebrate with family and friends who traveled down from the Northern Beaches of Sydney to this 100-year barn still in it’s beautiful and original glory.
Alex always envisaged the theme of the wedding would be eclectic and 70’s bohemian inspired similar to Alex’s incredible gown by Rue de Seine with its French lace and applique. They also added a few personal touches themselves where Alex made the shibori dyed napkins and Shannon built the wooden archway. After the majestic ceremony by the shores of the Shoalhaven River, we walked the eclectic grounds of Driftwood exploring every little nook while taking candid and fun photographs of the couple and bridal party. This was followed by a night of shared banquet dining kindly provided by Rabbit & Co, one of the best vendors the south coast has to offer. The White Tree created the most epic dance floor vibes as evidenced by the full dancefloor and are one of the best bands out there.
I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did creating them. Thanks again for all the amazing vendors who helped create these beautiful memories for Alex and Shannon. I’m sure they will treasure them forever. Please get in touch if you would like me to document your wedding at Driftwood Shed.
